OUR CATEGORIES

Membership Categories

The Southern African Energy Efficiency Confederation (SAEEC) have different categories of membership, each with its own set of rights and privileges. Each level of membership may come with a different set of benefits, such as access to certain services or discounts on products.
SAEEC also offer special membership categories for certain groups, such as students, Stakeholders, or retired seniors.
The specific categories of membership and their associated benefits will vary.

 

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP:

R385.00 excluding VAT per annum.

Youth members shall consist of individuals aged 35 years or younger and who can provide an identity document as proof of their age/date of birth.
Criteria:

  • Single Person Membership
  • Students must be registered full time students, studying at a College/ University/Technical Institution, and attending daily lectures from Monday through to Friday.
  •  They must NOT be employed.
  •  Be 35 years or younger

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP:

R770.00 excluding VAT per annum.

Individual membership refers to a type of membership in an organization that is held by a single person.
Individual members exhibit an interest in and/or contribute their knowledge/expertise to the Energy Industry. This contrasts with group membership, which is held by multiple people within an organization. Individual members typically have the same rights and privileges as other members of the SAEEC, such as the ability to vote on important decisions or access to member-only services and resources.

Criteria:

  •  Single Person Membership

 Enterprise Members

R4000.00 excluding VAT per annum.

Enterprise membership refers to a type of membership in an organization that is held by a business or other organization, rather than an individual. This type of membership is often offered by organizations that provide services or resources that are beneficial to businesses, such as networking opportunities or access to a marketplace.
Enterprise members typically have the same rights and privileges as individual members but may also have access to additional resources or services that are specific to businesses.

Criteria:

  • Membership to Two (2) dedicated persons within the enterprise.
  • CIPC registered company with between 2-10 permanent employees.
  • Additional membership available for Enterprise at Individual Membership Rate

 

CORPORATE  MEMBERSHIP:

R7,700.00 excluding VAT per annum.

Corporate members are organizations that hold membership in another organization. Corporate membership is often offered by professional organizations, trade associations, and other groups that provide resources or services that are beneficial to businesses. They are aligned to the objectives of SAEEC and who offer sustained support to the Association in pursuit of its goals, where the subject of energy is their main business.
Corporate members typically have the same rights and privileges as individual members but may also have access to additional resources or services that are specific to businesses.

Criteria:

  •  Membership to three (3) dedicated persons within the company
  • CIPC registered company with between 10-100 permanent employees.
  •  Additional membership available at Individual Membership Rate

STAKE-HOLDERS  MEMBERSHIP:

R31,625.00 excluding VAT per annum.

  • Eight members from the Company.
  • SAEEC to arrange up to four events/webinars per year:

Stakeholder membership refers to a type of membership in an organization that is held by individuals or organizations that have a vested interest in the organization’s success or activities.
The interests of stakeholders can vary, and may include financial, social, environmental, or other concerns. In decision-making, it is important to consider the interests of all stakeholders, as their support and participation can be essential to the success of SAEEC’s mission, vision and goals.
Stakeholder members typically have the same rights and privileges as other members of SAEEC, such as the ability to vote on important decisions or access to member-only services and resources.

Criteria:

  • Membership to eight (8) dedicated persons within the company
  • Government, Educational Institutions, other
  • Additional membership available at Individual Membership rate

BLUE  PREMIER MEMBERSHIP:

R38,500.00 excluding VAT  per annum.

Premium membership is offered to organizations that provide resources or services to their members, such as professional organizations, trade associations, or online communities. The specific benefits of premium membership will vary depending on the organization, but may include access to exclusive events, discounts on products or services, or enhanced support or resources.Blue Premier members typically have the same rights and privileges as other members of SAEEC, such as the ability to vote on important decisions or access to member-only services and resources.

Criteria:

  •  Membership to ten (10) dedicated persons within the company
  • Additional Membership available at 50% discounted Individual Membership Rate

SILVER MEMBERSHIP:

R77,000.00 excluding VAT  per annum.

Silver membership used to denote a upper-level membership category, with benefits that are more extensive than basic membership but not as extensive as gold or platinum membership. The specific benefits of silver membership will vary depending on the organization, but may include access to exclusive events, discounts on products or services, or enhanced support or resources.

Members in this category are entitled to a negotiated range of benefits in relation to their annual subscription. Included in the menu of options are: complimentary attendance at events, preferential branding, podium seating, preferential networking, secondment opportunities, in-house lectures and other appropriate benefits.

Criteria:

  • Membership to fifteen (15) dedicated persons within the company
  • Additional Membership available at 50% discounted Individual Membership Rate

GOLD MEMBERSHIP:

R165,000.00 excluding VAT  per annum.

Gold members are individuals or organizations that hold a high level of membership with the extensive benefits and privileges. Gold members may have access to exclusive events, discounts on products or services, and enhanced support or resources. They may also be entitled to special recognition or other perks.Members in this category are entitled to a negotiated range of benefits in relation to their annual subscription.Included in the menu of options are: complimentary attendance at events, preferential branding, podium seating, preferential networking, secondment opportunities, in-house lectures and other appropriate benefits.

Criteria:

  • Membership to twenty-five (25) dedicated persons within the company
  •  Additional Membership available at 50% discounted Individual Membership Rate

PLATINUM  MEMBERSHIP:

R330,000.00 excluding VAT

Members in this category are entitled to a negotiated range of benefits in relation to their annual subscription. Included in the menu of options are: complimentary attendance at events, preferential branding, podium seating, preferential networking, secondment opportunities, in-house lectures and other appropriate benefits

Platinum members shall consist of established associations, institutes/institutions, non-governmental organisations, energy research or academic organisations with an interest in the South African energy industry that have relevant expertise to support the Association in pursuit of its goals.

Criteria:

  • Membership to thirty-five (35) dedicated persons within the company
  • Additional Membership available at 50% discounted Individual Membership Rate

 

Retired Members

 

Retired members shall consist of individuals who are at least 65 years of age and who have been members of SAEEC for at least 5 years in any other categories prior to request to be admitted as a ‘Retired Member’.

Criteria:

  • Single member only
  •  Must be 65 years or older
  • Must be previous member for at least 5 years in any category
  • Subjected to Board approval
